In this class the kids will get the chance to try westafrican dance with live drums, and play around together with the “Senegalese Lion” Laye Serrere, who will guide them in to a playful world of music, dance and games!
Laye Serrere is a polyvalent artist, born in Dakar, Senegal. He is an experienced and excellent teacher, dancer, choreographer, musician and singer. He also plays the Kora, Sabar, Bongo drums and Doundoun. Actually he is based in the Netherlands and Dakar. He was the best dancer in the biggest national dance contest „Oscar de Vacances”. He worked with the Ballet Béjart and the National Ballet of Senegal. In 2017 he founded his own company ”Amlen Jaam” (”Peace for everyone”). Laye Serrere travels around Europe, sharing the knowledge and richness of the senegalese culture during concerts, workshops and performances.
